The GiroDisc 2-piece rotor system for the Corvette C8 Z51 offers a premium braking solution engineered for serious enthusiasts. Unlike a full big brake kit, GiroDisc rotors are a direct replacement for factory discs and work seamlessly with OE calipers. This allows you to retain factory brake bias and ABS efficiency while significantly improving cooling capacity, responsiveness, and durability.
Each rotor features a U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aluminum hat mated to GiroDiscs proprietary high-carbon cast iron rotor rings, poured and machined in-house in Bellingham, WA. A curved vane design functions like a centrifugal pump, pulling cooling air through the rotor for superior heat dissipation under demanding use.
The floating mount system uses 10 cadmium-plated high-strength alloy steel drive pins and anti-noise spring washers, allowing the rotors to expand under heat while staying quiet and street-friendly. The result is improved pedal feel, reduced fade, and better handling response thanks to the reduction in unsprung weight.
When the rings reach minimum thickness (28mm), they can be replaced independently of the hats with GiroDisc replacement rings, providing long-term cost savings and keeping your braking system performing at its best. Both front and rear kits are sold in pairs and include all necessary hardware.
