One big advantage with this AP Racing factory produced 6-piston brake kit over the other RS Focus brake upgrades on the market is that it will mount behind the standard 19 RS wheel, that owners would like the option of retaining; no need for wheel spacers either so, handling isnt compromised (see image). This fitment has been achieved by careful profiling of the caliper, so even when coupled to the 355x32mm disc this upgrade kit is wheel friendly.

The discs have 48 curved cooling vanes with a new style face pattern involving a series of short intermittent grooves to help reduce brake noise. The disc mounting bell uses a bespoke swan neck design that is less restrictive to the disc as it goes through the extreme heat cycles imposed on performance brakes (see workshop image).

The pads included with the kit are AP Racings own APF404 compound, suitable for fast road and track-day performance these are fantastic for all round performance, without noise problems.

Also in the kit are bespoke braided hoses, which replace the OE flexi hoses, these further reduce the overall brake pedal travel.

Also included in the kit is 1 Litre of DOT 5.1 high temperature brake fluid, to ensure track-day events are not marred by fluid boiling.

No vehicle modifications are required to fit this kit to the RS, its just a simple remove and refit procedure.
