NOTE FOR VANAGON APPLICATIONS: If you still have the factory original VW stereo please be aware that some of them came with a VW only antenna plug that requires either using VW’s antenna or purchasing an adapter to allow a regular antenna to work. The antenna mast doesn’t retract completely. It leaves about 12 inches of mast above mounting base when retracted.
