Thecamshaftuses lobes (calledcams) that push against the valves to open them as thecamshaftrotates; springs on the valves return them to their closed position. A larger lobe equals more air and fuel. More air and fuel equal a bigger BOOM in the combustion chamber which in turn equals more horsepower.Cam swaps are critical andhavea great impact on an engine’sperformanceat different speeds. These cams work great in both N/A (naturally aspirated) and turbo applications. We have been able to achieve well over 600 Whp using these cams in our big Race Turbo YXZ builds.
